Travel to Europe {Mykonos, Greece}
July 04, 2016
My family and I landed on this magical island, Mykonos of Greece on the 7th day of our #HosGoGlobal journey to Europe. This is the second destination in Greece after we travelled to Santorini, Istanbul and Kusadasi, Turkey. It was a breezy, sunny day when we arrived to the port of Mykonos, and we could not resist from falling in love with this inviting place surrounded by gradients of blue waters.
We walked through charming cobblestone streets to a picturesque white painted village. An array of white washed houses, little churches, windmills suggested the perfect background for photos. We wined down to a local seafood restaurant by the bay and got a taste of their seafood. It was a relaxing and scenic day trip. The only regret I had was that I couldn't find Mykonos mascot, Peter the Pelican and totally missed out on a selfie opportunity!
Panagia Paraportiani, one of the most photographed churches in the world. It consists of 4 chapels at ground level with another one on the 2nd floor. |
Stay tuned for my next photo journal on Athens, Greece!

Absolutely incredible photographs. I always struggle to take decent photos in strong sunlight, but you manage to capture this beautifully. And what a place too, wow! Greetings from Luxembourg (where the light is, alas, not quite so brilliant...) #FarawayFiles
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos and I couldn't help noticing that seafood platter - looks like it jumped straight from the sea into the kitchen and onto your plate! Thanks for joining #FarawayFiles
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to visit Mykonos! Did you think a few hours in port was enough? My mom really wants to go on a Mediterranean cruise, and I do to, but I would hate to only be in port for 6-8 hours. It's not enough time! #farawayfiles (www.caliglobetrotter.com)
ReplyDeleteMykonos is so adorable! Love your style. Thanks for sharing with #FarawayFiles, Erin
ReplyDeleteSo great photos! I am traveling to Greece next month and I am so happy! I 'll visit Athens, Santorini and Mykonos! I 've already booked a guided Acropolis tour in Athens https://www.discovergreekculture.com/tours/acropolis-now/ and a cruise around Santorini!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear your thoughts and comments! Come back soon :)
