Easy Summer Wreath Refresh
June 13, 2022
I love decorating my front porch. It gives my house more life. I made a wreath for my front door years ago and it's beginning to look a bit dated and dull. It's time to freshen it up for Summer.
To recap, here's a step-by-step of how I made my wreath. I bought a 18" grapevine wreath from Michael's during their 50% sale and mixed various ferns and leaves for the wreath. It was an easy wreath DIY without having to arrange florals and stems.
Then, I hung a wooden birdhouse that I got from the dollar store to the wreath and burned the word, "Welcome" with my wood burning tool.

For this Summer refresh, I attached some faux lemons to my old wreath and instantly, my wreath became so much livelier and welcoming! The lemons were taken from 2 lemon bushes that I bought from Michael's during their sale. Each lemon bush comes with approximately 7 lemons and actually look like real lemons. I pulled the lemons out of the stems with a little force and glued each one onto the wreath, alternating various angles and rotations so that they look balance.
This is a cute and easy DIY idea to liven up any old wreath. And the plus side, materials cost minimal.
